Rattler!

We visited the Lake Tahoe area this past week with friends. We had a great time and also some adventure. Yesterday we hiked to the top of beautiful horse tail falls which enters into desolation wilderness area (http://www.waterfallswest.com/waterfall.php?id=227) . The hike is 2.8 miles and reaches elevation of 6,800 feet. It took us about two hours to get to the top. Along the way my friend almost stepped on a Western Rattle Snake. Thankfully the rattles were blazing and he did not get bit. On the way back down the mountain we saw another Rattler on the side of the trail. This one was just little easier to take some pictures….

Here they are!

Picture Cards take 1

Every year Cindi and I put together Picture cards. We order blank cards with envelopes on-line and print around 100 4x6 pictures. Once we have both the cards and pictures back from the on-line stores, we tape the pictures onto the blank cards. Over the next year we use these picture cards for Birthday's, friendship's, best wishes, congrats, etc.. I currently am sorting/searching through my pictures for this years group. Over the next week or so, I will share the ones we will be using. (Some of these pictures you may have already seen on my blog over the last year or so...)

Poulsbo Fireworks!

Our family headed to Poulsbo yesterday afternoon to catch dinner and the annual Poulsbo July 03 fireworks display. It was pretty amazing. I had never taken pictures of fireworks. I also did not have a tripod, so some are better than others. The last frame is an actual HD Video I took with my Nikon D90 SLR.

We were sitting right by one of the local docks, so I was able to get some of the sail boat masts in the shots...

ENJOY!

Long Days in the Pacific NW

I arrived home yesterday evening from cloudy Minneapolis MN. Gig Harbor was a perfect 75 degrees. I took this shot from our deck at 9:38PM.

Long Live Summer!
