Merry Christmas!

(OK, two more pictures from Christmas morning.....)

Tracks from the dreaded Timber Yellow Labrador Retriever...

Merry Christmas from the Northwest Pleau's.

This nativity scene was made by my Dad. He created it out of a tree that has been growing in their front yard for the last 40+ years in Davis, California. I believe the tree is a Japanese Bogota. The intrinsic details are amazing.

The remaining pictures are just random shots from around Gig Harbor over the last couple of snowy days....

May the birth of Christ remind us that we are not alone......God is with us...

Snowy Gig Harbor

We have gotten a little snow here in beautiful Gig Harbor. We are hoping for more of the white stuff just in time for Christmas. Snow is always more exciting than 50 degrees and rain!

Christmas Boat Parade

Cindi and I attended the Gig Harbor Christmas boat parade this evening. It was freezing and the hint of snow was in the air. Surprisingly, there was a good turnout of people to this annual event. Here are some photo's....

Santa's arrival Downtown Gig Harbor

Cindi and I decided to go to downtown Gig Harbor for the annual Christmas tree lighting event.
The crowd was huge and everyone (parents included) had a great time. Here are some pictures and an actual short video of Santa’s arrival.

Clam eater (including shell)

I watched in amazement yesterday as this female Surf Scooter came up from a dive with a good-sized clam. (click on each picture for full meal deal)

I had read that Scooters ate clams but to actually observe a Scooter swallowing one whole was amazing. (I don’t think they make a strong enough antacid or laxative for humans to have these kind of eating habits :~)

Loads of waterfowl

It was a great day today for waterfowl viewing. It looks like most of the species of waterfowl that visit the Puget Sound region are now down from Canada.
